In response to changes occurring in managed care, Advanced Foot and Ankle was formed in 1995 by a group of independent podiatric physicians. We believe a single-specialty IPA would best allow us to survive and prosper in this ever changing health care environment.

Managed Care Contracting
AFA, IPA has the ability to increase patients to your private practice through exclusive contracts or directed lives and provides access to over over 200 insurers and health plans; including some that have recently closed to new members.
AFA, IPA is recognized for its ability to negotiate, structure and manage contacts exclusively for podiatric services. Through the development of new strategic alliances, we can enhance our podiatric IPA network referrals.
Marketing Practice Building
AFA, IPA has developed the internal, operational, financial and clinical management capabilities necessary to succeed in a managed care environment. Our programs assist podiatrists to improve office operations and efficiency that can optimize profitability and increase revenue sources.
We promote continuing medical education programs and offer members opportunities to collaborate and share information amongst each other to acquire "best practice" patterns.
